Cabinet lights & ideas

If you’re planning on freshening up your home, you are likely focusing on the most obvious elements of the home. But you shouldn’t neglect your closet space either, and consider getting a closet light.

This is one of the darkest places in the house, and most people often struggle to find their clothes without proper lighting. Fortunately, there is a solution in the form of cabinet lighting.

This is both a practical and an aesthetic solution. Good lighting can make every room look different and sophisticated. You will admire your clothes even more and your closet won’t be your nightmare every time you open it to find something to wear, especially if you are in a hurry.

We are now presenting some useful ideas for cabinet lighting with wireless cabinet lights.

Practical and durable LED cabinet lights are elegant and economical and can change your cabinet more than you can imagine. The LED cabinet light has sensor lights that switch themselves off and on again automatically, depending on whether your cabinet is closed or open.

Old school lightbulbs can overheat and glow, damaging your clothing. However, you can rest assured that the LED cabinet lights will protect your clothes.

We should also think about taking care of your clothes as lighting can be very tight. If you have regular lightbulbs, the minimum clearance is 18 inches from the back and sides of a cabinet.
UV-free lighting is a better solution for cabinet lighting. It does not fade or damage the materials.

It doesn’t overheat, so it’s suitable for tight spaces.
If you still don’t have cabinet lighting and a small closet, you can install a battery operated closet light. There are models that can be turned on and off by touching the light cover. Some use a cord or switch.

There are also motion activated lights.

They’re easy to install so you can run them yourself if you need to.

Neither of these lights are expensive and you can install them as many times as you need and give your closet a suitable flash.

Choosing a light that automatically turns off after a while saves you having to buy lots of batteries to replace.

A battery-operated puck light is another practical solution for cabinet lighting. Switching on and off is done on most models by pressing in the middle of the light. For easier installation you will need self-adhesive tape on the back. It is recommended to have a different light source, this will probably not be enough.

Microfluorescent lights can illuminate a larger area. They are excellent ideas because they are energy efficient and unobtrusive.
The device turns on instantly as it is equipped with a quiet, built-in electronic ballast that prevents hum and flicker.

Make your wardrobe one of the most popular areas of your home

You can be the most organized person and always try to reorganize your stuff, but there are some spots in your wardrobe that will drive you crazy and want to toss it all out the window.
To avoid this scenario, here are a few ideas that can inspire you to make changes.

The first thing to do when you have a portable closet is to place it somewhere in the house near a source of natural light, preferably near the window.
Mirrors don’t exactly create a flash in your closet, but they do diffuse the light and you can use that space instead of having to put a direct flash in the closet.

LED lighting

LED (Light Emitting Diode) is a half-wire lightning source. It’s convenient and economical for several reasons:

  • it uses a lot less energy
  • it takes a long time
  • it’s small and subtle

With the LED cabinet light you can illuminate much more space in your cabinet. This is a great solution because you can put them on any shelf, including the ones on the floor and in the corners of your closet.

If you want to avoid cables and wires in your closet, use the 10 LED sensor lights. This is a modern, fashionable type of cabinet lighting.
It’s automatic, but you can also use it manually, it’s up to you.

If you’re lucky enough to have extra space in your home, you can afford to have an elegant focal point for your closet. Center it in the middle of the room above the chaise longue and let the natural light hug your living space and add a touch of glamor to it.

If you are surrounded by a bright white, try not to make the open space look sterile. You can do this by installing an over-the-top fixture with multiple light sources. A crystal chandelier is perfect for making the room glamorous and powerful. This is one of the elegant varieties of cabinet lights that you need to carefully maintain.

Just to remind you, if you decide to use the chandelier as the main source of light in a walk-in closet, you need to have plenty of space in the house. In this way, the room looks inviting and extravagant.
There is so much you can do for your closet with a warm color. It will create a comfortable atmosphere and combine it with some decorative vases and directional lights.

For a soft and elegant effect, position the accent flash in front of your closet rather than backlighting your shelves. This is like an indication of the most beautiful room in your home.

Natural light is definitely the best light source in any room. Unfortunately, closets don’t often have windows so this may not be practical. Skylights can only be installed if your closet is in the attic or on the top level of the house. However, this will refine the room in many ways.

Use large LED closet lighting on either side of your walk-in closet to brighten up your clothes and create an artistic effect. An LED cabinet light gives your surroundings a clean white glow without unnecessary heat or radiation.

A discrete light source looks a bit mystical when it is hidden in a wall.
This expensive mirror in your foyer doesn’t have to be the place for your fancy clothes, but you can use its reflection and light for the wall of LED lamps.

For a more masculine touch, a modern, dark wood is the perfect choice.

The focal point of your closet can also be an island, and this closet lighting idea can be achieved by installing a pendant light above the island. Use oversized lights to enhance the visual effect.

If you haven’t installed them already, pantry lights will be needed so that you can easily reach your belongings. As with the cabinet, there are also different versions of the Pantry Light.

The best use of narrow cabinets (unfortunately, not many of us have the privilege of having large, spacious cabinets) is to use a light fixture or lighting system that is suitable for this type of layout. Another great option is track lighting.

There are some tricky spaces in some cabinets and they are not that easy to use for cabinet lighting. But there is a solution for that too. So-called S-shaped shelves can best be brightened with recessed lights built directly into each shelf.

To be honest, there aren’t that many lucky ones with 500 square feet of storage space and we need to make the most of our space with various DIY methods.

If you’re looking for a more traditional way of lighting your closet space, consider using ribbon lighting or try wiring your lights to attach to automatic switches if you have closet doors. This way the lights will come on automatically when the doors are opened.
