The Mazama House – A home with a unique design

The Mazama House designed by Finnish architectsMethow Valley in Washington State is truly a home with a unique design. Why is that? Because it is an exceptional home for several reasons. One of those reasons is that it’s a home with a view.

If you are looking for a home that is not only beautifully delivered but also the most private as it is in a very secluded mountain valley that is on the east side / edge of the North Cascades.

This is about 200 miles northeast of Seattle. This mountain house really is the personification of mountain life at its very best. Hence, if you want to be far away and still be seen. Mazama House can do that for you.

What is great about this fantastic house is very clear. It is a house that was built to be hidden in its own way. Because of the way it was built. It is a house that can still be seen from afar by many. This is because it is a house with a lot of unobstructed inside-out views.

It is a house that has been carefully located in a grove of trees at the eastern end of a very large meadow. There are two large building volumes that strongly indicate the best house organization. There is a grounded wing with two bedrooms and a raised living gazebo. This elevated living pavilion is raised above the ground by a group of exposed steel columns.

With this extraordinary mountain house everything can be seen and seen. Because the large meadow in front of the house can be seen from the access road and continues directly under the main living room of the house. It makes the living pavilion look like it is a bridge structure that looks like it extends across the meadow grass itself.

The house touches the ground very lightly with its six steel pillars standing majestically. What is great about the raised ground level is this. It offers many wonderful and improved views that are absolutely breathtaking. What is also great about this elevated ground level is the fact that it is something that also keeps the main living level well above the 3 to 4 feet of winter snow, the portion of winter accumulation that is typical for the upper Methow Valley.
