Have you ever imagined a house in leaf shape? Well that is possible and you can find it south of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Angra dos Reist. A leaf house designed by Mareines + Patalano Arquitetura that caught my attention with its impressive shape. Suitable for this hot climate, it was built with wood materials and places to relax like the open but covered porches. is also surrounded by palm trees and many green bushes.
Paneling and hardwood floors were found throughout the house, including the bathroom. There is no room made of any material other than wood, except for the outer walls made of windows. The house is built to have perfect ventilation system which is always good especially when you factor in the ocean breezes which can often make your nights cooler.
It has a wooden table and a wooden couch, but with the same cozy effect thanks to many pillows that enhance your nice atmosphere. Check out the uniquely shaped stairs. Don’t you think there’s something missing There is no railing so you will feel a sense of freedom when you climb on it. A wonderful concept of architecture that needs to be tried out more.
