The clear, geometric lines of this apartment seem almost minimalist, but the luxurious materials and warm, chocolatey earth tones give an atmosphere of luxury and enjoyment.
Statement pieces like large paintings and unique sculptures complement the elegant furniture in any room. Magic can be found in even the most functional areas, like the twinkling little lights on the ceiling of the exercise room and the “floating” bidet and dresser in the bathroom, which dispense with plinths to give a calming zen feel and emerge seamlessly pure white walls that are structured with a calming wave pattern.
The interior shows other Asian influences in the Shoji-like design of the entrance and dining area, which is reflected in the geometric lines of some of the furniture and fixtures. The use of polished wood and other natural accents is in keeping with typical elements of a stylish Japanese home.
The window treatments are elegant yet simple so as not to obscure the breathtaking views of bustling downtown Kiev. The neutral color scheme is the perfect backdrop for the occasional splash of color from a work of art, a bouquet of flowers in a vase, or a colorful accent pillow.
The chocolate and cream surrounding of the dining room provides a perfect backdrop for the display of the purple upholstered dining room chairs as well as a striking, colorful painting, and the almost austere look of the large kitchen is enhanced by the use of fabric shades and a comfortable set of cinnamon-colored upholstered chairs around the kitchen table.
