What does take a little thought, however, is how to get them into that particular mind space first.
Why? Because it is absolutely critical for your company that you do so. Lazy, disruptive, and argumentative employees who don’t even like each other, let alone work well together, will hit your profits hard. And then there is the negative way your brand gets out.

Help with your health
Your co-workers will not do any work at all if they are sick in bed with a cold, stress, or any form of lurgie. So help them stay healthy through regular free fruit days or speak to a local gym and see if they’ll give you a discount on their subscription pricing, which you can then give to the staff by telling those who do want to buy a gym membership.
Going to the gym together and also helping out with office camaraderie (something you certainly want to encourage).
Manage the number of meetings
Meetings can be effective – if they are kept to the point and as short as possible.
But they’re also incredibly frustrating when you know you’re busy and someone who hijacked the meeting keeps booming over a Pet Peeve that isn’t particularly relevant to the rest of the team at the table.
Reduce the number of meetings you have. Your employees will love you for it.
Make sure you have work equipment
Photocopier up to date again? Out of printer paper? No access to important software for your project? That monitor dead again? All of these things understandably make employees stupid – especially when they are at a certain point in time.
Prevent a frustrated employee’s bad mood from infecting the rest of the office by always making sure that your office equipment is working and is up to date. To do this, always sign up with customer service for the big things.
Be careful with goals
Large projects can take so long to achieve their goal that employees can easily become unmotivated and something is lost halfway. The answer is to set a series of shorter goals within that end result so that everyone can see that they are still on track towards that end goal.
Pep up with praise
And when your teams achieve their smaller goal, praise them and let them know that you appreciate all of their efforts. Show them the difference the task they have accomplished makes to the overall project.
Praise doesn’t have to come with a cash prize or a small office party (although both are appreciated by the staff, we’re sure). What it does mean, however, is an acknowledgment and thank you for all the hard work your employees have just done.
Give them some space to relax
Everyone needs some time to get away from their desk. If there is a dedicated, comfortable area in which to relax, read, or chat with colleagues, he will return to work relaxed and able to focus on the task at hand. They will also appreciate you for trusting them, not taking advantage of the opportunity to doze off at work for too long!
