There are houses that are designed for young children, and there are houses that are elegant and tastefully designed. The residence in Glyfada, a suburb of Athens, Greece, is the latter of the two. As you can see in the pictures shown, the house contains a large amount of glass, both in the furniture and in the construction.
Some of the exterior walls that make up the back yard and surround the pool are partially glass, as are some of the walls on the upper floors. This makes for a sleek look while allowing natural light in without compromising the beauty of the home.
The Glyfada residence was designed by Dolihos Architectsand the construction was carried out by KDI CONTRACT. It happens to be a large two story house with a basement so there are lots of levels and rooms. There happens to be a gym, garage, and servant room in the basement, although no pictures are shown.
What is shown is the wonderful living space in the house on the first two floors. Primarily the ground floor is shown, with the family rooms being the most prominent. These rooms each have their own style but are spacious and elegant so that the whole family can relax. The main bathroom contains duel-tub-style sinks for more than one person.
The outside of the house in the rear offers plenty of space on the terrace with space to relax by the pool or to eat outside at the tables. There is also an outdoor shower to cool off or wash off after a swim.
