If you have a small room, walls can actually get in the way of what you do with it. Although having a private conversation in a private room can be difficult, these walls take up space when there are no walls. But what if instead of regular walls you had glass walls that could block some, if not all, of the sound and still make the place feel more open to everyone.
Designed in 2014 by ActDesign is a loft in Montreal. This is no ordinary Montreal loft as it is in the oldest area of Montreal, Canada, also known as Old Montreal. But there is nothing old when it comes to the style and grace that went into the look and feel of this loft.
The dining room is separate from the living room and is in its own area near the kitchen. The difference to any other living space, however, is that it is separated by what appears to be its own glass space. The same goes for the bathroom, but the bathroom offers a little more privacy.
The wooden floors throughout the room not only create a natural ambience, but also reflect the lighting and make it brighter than without it. To soften the look and light a little, carpets are well placed near or below the furniture. The kitchen makes wonderful use of the space by not only containing all modern appliances, but also offering plenty of counter space that can easily be used as a bar or seating area.
